Fudo is a recovery app for people who struggle with binge eating, food noise, and cravings. What you share with Fudo is personal, and we designed the app so you share as little of it with anyone else as possible. This page explains what the app stores, what it sends, and what it does not.
Fudo lets you log cravings, slips, journal notes, food-noise ratings, streaks, challenges, injections (if you use the GLP-1 mode), and photos of foods you are craving. All of this stays on your device, in the app's own storage. It is not backed up to our servers, because we do not have any user database.
Your personal recovery data lives on your iPhone or iPad. If you delete the app, that data is gone. We have no way to recover it for you, because we never had a copy.
Fudo has three features that use AI: the coach chat, the "snap a craving" reframe, and the weekly insight card. When you use one of these, your message text (or the photo you took) is sent so an AI model can respond.
To generate replies, Fudo uses AI models from Google, OpenAI, and xAI. These providers process your message only to produce the reply you see. Please do not enter your full legal name, address, phone number, or other information that could identify you — Momo does not need it to help.
Alongside your message, the app sends a small amount of anonymous recovery context (for example: your current streak length, whether you use GLP-1 mode, your goal) so the reply is useful. It does not send your name, contacts, location, or health data from other apps.
Our website and the small service that talks to the AI providers run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may see technical information (like your IP address and browser type) that any website receives when you connect. This is used to keep the service running and to block abuse.
If you use "snap a craving," Fudo asks for permission to use your camera or your photo library. The photo you choose is sent so an AI model can reframe the moment for you, and is not kept afterward. Fudo never scans your photo library on its own.
All notifications are off by default. You choose which reminders you want (check-ins, evening wind-down, streak milestones, shot day) and at what time. Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS; no notification content is sent to our servers.
Fudo Pro is a subscription sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Fudo receives a receipt from Apple that confirms the subscription is active. We do not see your credit card number or your Apple ID.
Fudo does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or attribution SDKs. There is no Facebook Pixel, no Google Analytics, no cross-app tracking. The App Store shows Apple's own anonymous install and crash statistics, which we cannot connect to any individual person.
Fudo is intended for people 17 and over, in line with the App Store rating. It is not designed for children.
Because your recovery data lives on your device, you already control it. To delete a coach conversation, use the trash icon on the coach screen. To delete everything at once, delete the app.
If we change how the app handles your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
